The objective of the project is to use a series of paintings to educate about the history and vision of General Motors and its impact on Detroit as a city and community.  The artwork was designed for the Renaissance Center, Detroit's most prominent modern high rise building and world headquarters of General Motors, to be hung on Level 2 above the GM Wintergarden above the Wintergarden escalators. 

The building consists of one middle tower surrounded by 4 smaller towers. Each of those is color coded,  represented by the four 6'x8' (183x244cm) paintings, which are red, blue, green and yellow.
