The Project

The objective of the project is to use a series of paintings to educate about the history and vision of General Motors and its impact on Detroit as a city and community.  The artwork was designed for the Renaissance Center, Detroit's most prominent modern high rise building and world headquarters of General Motors, to be hung on Level 2 above the GM Wintergarden above the Wintergarden escalators

The building consists of one middle tower surrounded by 4 smaller towers. Each of those is color coded,  represented by the four 6'x8' (183x244cm) paintings, which are red, blue, green and yellow.

This website follows the evolution of the artwork and offers an interpretation for each canvas.
